Harsha Trust initiated a virtuous cycle that enhances minimum access to energy for the bottom of the economic pyramid (BOP) clients in a sustainable manner by linking with social financing and income generation activities. Harsha Trust has created institutional mechanisms for social financing of solar energy operated systems through cooperatives and Self Help Groups. It has established appropriate supply chain for product and service delivery by linking manufacturers with rural consumers through retailers and clean energy entrepreneurs (CEEs). CEEs have been trained in communication, assembling, selling, installation and maintenance of solar power units. Harsha Trust is promoting various solar power models for lighting and other utilitarian needs, besides helping in income generation activities.
A numbers of rural servicing centres are also established for providing after sales service to community.
