It includes “Ridge to Valley” perspective, which is starting from the top and coming downwards. Ridge to valley treatment ensures that the soil erosion is reduced and the treatments at the lower catchments are protected. The total area of treatment divided into three parts are ridge area treatment, drainage area treatment and Land development. Ridge area treatment includes Staggered Contour Trench (SCT), Forest Area Plantation, Contour Stone Bunding (CSB) and Contour Earthen Bund (CEB). Drainage area Treatment includes Loose Boulder Structure, Gabion Structure etc. Various land development methods like Field bunding and Land leveling, 30X40 models, 5% model and land labeling are also taken
