Partner Testimonials

Our collaboration with Harsha Trust began in 2019, fruitfully spanning rural development projects in Paradeep and an Aspirational District project in Rayagada. Trustworthiness, commitment to transparency and accountability, adherence to established processes and due diligence , timely project implementation, expert knowledge and value addition leading to positive socioeconomic outcomes are the aspects we value most about our collaboration with Harsha Trust. Together we have successfully established community-based organizations operating agricultural tool banks within gram panchayats and managing livelihood clusters focused on agriculture and entrepreneurship in coastal villages of Paradeep. This initiative significantly impacted vulnerable families by bridging gaps and providing essential support, thereby fostering societal development and enhancing livelihoods in the region.

Working with the Harsha Trust team has been a truly enriching experience. Their deep-rooted connection to the tribal communities, combined with their community-centric approach to addressing development challenges, is truly inspiring. Harsha Trust’s unwavering commitment to serving the under-served tribal communities in Odisha is unwavering. By empowering the women-led community institutions, Harsha Trust is laying the foundation for sustainable and positive change. Their collaborative approach, involving the community in identifying and implementing effective solutions, ensures that interventions are both culturally sensitive and environmentally responsible. I wish them continued success in their mission to uplift communities and enable economic empowerment.

Harsha Trust’s extensive experience in holistic rural development in Odisha is now being replicated in Madhya Pradesh through their collaboration with SRIJAN. Co-creation of knowledge, building programs on each other’s strengths, empowering local communities, and collaborating with government agencies to enhance the reach and effectiveness of their initiatives constitute the key aspects of this partnership. Integrating nutrition education with practical crop production skills, Harsha Trust and SRIJAN are together fostering a culture of health and well-being, extending beyond food production. This has improved access to fresh produce, strengthened community ties and encouraged collective efforts towards a healthier future. Their unwavering commitment to improving lives is commendable, and I look forward to witnessing the continued positive impact of their work.

My collaboration with Harsha Trust began one year ago. Through our combined efforts, we’ve successfully raised awareness about balanced nutrition and empowered community members to make informed dietary choices. Nutrigardens have empowered the community to grow their own nutritious food through organic farming. These interventions have led to a noticeable decrease in mortality and morbidity related to lack of proper WASH practices and adequate nutrition. Additionally, pregnant mothers have gained crucial knowledge about proper care during pregnancy, which has resulted in healthier pregnancies and the delivery of healthy babies.

My association with Harsha Trust started in 2018 in Nabarangpur block. Together we have organized capacity building training for SHG/ CLF members, submitted loan application/MIP of SHGs, trained CRPs on the PLA-LANN module for roll out in SHGs and facilitated convergence with line departments. By collaborating, we have enabled increase in income, bank linkages and savings of WSHG members, built capacity of SHG members on agriculture, livestock rearing , created awareness on entitlements and sensitized women and girls on Health and Nutrition.
