Livestock Development
A large numbers of families are landless. They do not have lands and mostly depend upon wage labour. Livestock rearing is a new path towards a better life. With the objective of economic development of the poorest of the poor families in the area, Harsha Trust promoted livestock development cooperatives. Major activities where the cooperative is engaged with the tribal families are broiler poultry farming, goat rearing and backyard poultry farming etc. The cooperative has been providing both forward and backyard linkages, vaccination, De-worming, medication, castration and marketing linkages to its members. Village level youth have been developed to provide regular services to poultry and goat farmers.
