It contains the “Ridge to Valley” view, which begins at the top and descends. Ridge-to-valley treatment reduces soil erosion and protects lower catchment treatments. The treatment area is divided into three sections: 

1. Ridge treatment – consists of “Staggered Contour Trench (SCT),” “Forest Area Plantation”, “Contour Stone Bunding” (CSB), and “Contour Earthen Bund” (CEB). 
2. Drainage treatment consists of  “Loose Boulder Structure,” “Gabion Structure,” and other drainage area treatments.
3. Land development – Various land development strategies are used, including field bunding and land levelling, 30 X 40 model, the five percent model, and land levelling are also taken up
