Food & Nutritional Security
Harsha Trust works with the community to improve nutritional and food security through better packages and practices. The organization is making serious efforts in paddy and millet cultivation, emphasizing on seed treatment, line transplanting, seed variety changes, and so on. As a result, the average paddy yield has increased to 18 quintals per acre from 7 quintals per acre, raising a family’s food security to 9-10 months from 3-4 months. In addition, improved millet and pulses cultivation, as well as kitchen garden promotion, contribute to the nutritional security of families
